Our universe is full of unimaginable mysteries and we are yet to know even 1% of these mysteries.

Till now we have not been able to get complete information about all the planets and satellites present in our solar system.

You must know that it rains diamonds on four planets of our solar system and these planets Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus.

There are some places in our universe where it rains ruby and sapphire gems.

Let us know which is the place where these gems rain, how far is this place from our earth and why these gems rain at this planet.

Planet That Rains Rubies and Sapphires

Planet Hat P-7-b Rains Rubies and Sapphires, it is also known as Kepler-2b. This planet is 1,044 light-years away from Earth.

Sapphire and Ruby gems rain on this planet and the reason for this is the aluminum oxide (Corundum) present in the atmosphere of this planet. Ruby and Sapphire gems are made of this aluminum oxide (Corundum).

This planet is also about 1.5 times bigger than Jupiter and its day temperature is around 2,600°C and night temperature is around 1900°C.

This planet is a gas planet like Jupiter and its gravity is almost twice that of our Earth (17.36 m/s2).

It is revolving around a star whose size is about one and a half times bigger than our Sun. Here the speed of the winds is faster than the winds on Jupiter. It is an F-type star.

This planet is tidally locked like our Moon, Tidal locked means that one side of it always faces towards its Sun.

This planet was discovered in the year 2008. This planet absorbs almost all the light (97%) that falls on it.

For this reason, this planet is considered to be one of the darkest planets ever known.
