What are the symptoms of liver cancer?
Cancer that starts in the liver cells (hepatocyte) is called liver cancer. As with many other cancers, liver cancer symptoms often do not appear in the early stages. Symptoms appear at a later stage. Liver cancer, also known as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
Bloating
Fatigue
Dark-colored urine
Lump right below the rib cage or pain near the right side of the abdomen
Jaundice
Unexplained loss of appetite
Losing weight without trying
Upper abdominal pain
Nausea and vomiting
General weakness
Abdominal swelling
Yellow discoloration of your skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice)
White, chalky stools
An enlarged liver, felt as a mass under the ribs on the right side
An enlarged spleen, felt as a mass under the ribs on the left side
Fluid buildup in the abdomen: This is called ascites and can cause the abdomen to swell.
