Air comes from our lungs only through the bronchial tubes. In bronchitis, due to inflammation in our bronchial tubes and trachea, mucus starts to build up, and then our lungs try to expel this mucus, due to which the patient coughs continuously.
The main cause of bronchitis is a bacterial, viral infection, or allergy to something.
Bronchitis are two types Chronic Bronchitis and Acute Bronchitis.
Acute bronchitis is generally caused by viruses and its symptoms last to a few weeks while Chronic Bronchitis is caused by continuous inflammation of bronchial tubes.
It never goes and it occurs regularly after certain periods or in winter.
Is Bronchitis Contagious
Bronchitis is not contagious, but some of the causes are.
If your bronchitis is caused by viruses, you may be contagious for a few days to a week.
If your bronchitis is caused by bacteria, you usually stop being contagious 24 hours after starting antibiotics.
Other causes of bronchitis are not infectious.

1) Persistent Productive Cough for at least 3 months of the year

5) Chest Discomfort
